So I made the drive out to Muir Woods today. By the way, someone should warn you how scary that drive is. Beautiful but terrifying. Anyway, here's a few images I took on my visit.
Obviously this is the entrance. There are several trails you can take but this one is divided into 3 different parts, I believe. A .5 mile trail, a 1 mile trail and a 2 mile trail. They all have a turnaround point when they reach their respective distances.
This is the first bridge you cross if you only want to do the .5 mile trail. Notice how tiny the people look compared to the trees.
So. Much. Green.
Seeing the Redwoods is definitely worth the scary drive.
You can find a lot of critters if you know how to look for them.
I loved how the moss looked in this lighting.
The entire trail is boarded like this. It makes for a nice leisurely stroll.
Check out the cafeteria for some organic eats.
A few of the items you can find in the gift shop.
Once your done here, do yourself a favor and drive the extra 10 minutes down to Muir Beach. You won't be disappointed.
And since we were already on this side of the bridge, we decided to visit the Golden Gate Bridge while we were there.
Not the best image, but I'll definitely go back to get some better ones in the future.
