Photoshoot with the lovely Alyx Redmayne-Titley

A few months ago (yeah I know…) I made a flower crown and a giant tulle skirt with the intention to use it for a photoshoot. This was back in October… anyway I was finally able to utilize both of them in a shoot with Alyx Redmayne-Titley. If you’re in the Bay Area, I highly recommend her as a model. You can check out her instagram @ms_alyx_mac

Anyway, here are the images we were able to create. Enjoy!

If you’d like to know how I created this lighting, here’s an image of my setup in my small Bay Area apartment.

Using my Yongnuo speedlite on a light stand behind a regular bed sheet, I aimed it at about 45 degree angle. You might have to play with it a little bit to get the effect you want but having this giant diffuser, which is bigger than my 36” softbox, gave me really soft lighting.

I hope to try this method again soon but maybe play with the angles a bit more to create more dramatic lighting.
